A Product Manager and PhD researcher in digital media & technology, exploring how product management functions as strategic communication in media enterprises.Alongside my research and product delivery, I founded Oriire, a digital archive spotlighting African mythology, history, and food through articles and cultural storytelling.Since launch, Oriire has grown into a media platform with a dedicated readership and an active membership community.
Oriire.com

“There’s always a story. It’s all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything’s got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.”
~ Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky
My Research
My doctoral research at the University of Nicosia explores how products themselves function as facilitators of strategic communication.Products are not just tools. In product management, a product's design choices, features, business models and content strategies convey meaning and signal values, priorities, and who it is built for.To study this, I combine qualitative methods with an auto-ethnographic case study of Oriire, a cultural media platform and digital archive I founded. Oriire provides first hand insight into how platforms communicate through design choices and community engagement, which I then compare with interviews from other European media founders. This work aims to develop a framework of communicative product leadership and help define the 'product as a message'.
